Windows 10: Earbuds wired stopped working between usages

I have a new purchased in November 2023 Asus Zenbook laptop running Windows 11 and was watching a show with my wired earbuds. They worked fine. I unplugged them and then a few mintues later decided to listen to some music in my iTunes Library which they worked yesterday. Plugged the earbuds in and nothing. Still running through the speakers. I went in to the sound settings and made sure the earbuds were set as default and were enabled. CHECK and CHECK. Took out another set of earbuds and got the same results. Took the original pair and plugged them in to my old HP Win 10 laptop and the ea

Wired Earbuds Issue / Bug.

My laptop Has A Wired Earbuds/headphones slot. ( It Also supports bluetooth btw. ) I have one similar to this with a microphone. :

But when i start up the laptop they give no audio. When i remove them i hear the audio on my laptop fine it cant be the driver. i even selected them as my sound device; I found a workaround. every time i want them to work i need to :

1. Open Settings
2. Click windows update
3. click troubleshoot then additional troubleshooters
4. click audio and start the audio troubleshooter

Before you think i just need to run it and this will be fine, making this thread useless, wait i added weird for a reason. So i need to go to this screen.

Click play test sounds. I hear nothing, it go to this screen.

After that i need to close the troubleshooter Window. Disconnect my wired earbuds. reconnect them. And It Fixes Itself?????? I also need to restart the programs that were playing audio so i can hear them on my wired earbuds.. is There A Way To Fix This Weird Bug? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 ( OS Build 19045.2788 )

Wired Keyboard and Mouse Stop Working - Windows 10
I have an old Dell Studio that is running windows 10 ---

Ir has Windows 10 and SSD installed - to me it does what it needs to do but this darn mouse and keyboard stuff stopping working with no rhyme or reason is making me very frustrated.

Keyboard and Mouse are wired - NOT WIRELESS

• I cannot easily unplug and plug in the mouse/keyboard to get it going again... they are still lit up but they are dead basically and I have to do a hard reset.
  
• USB selective suspend is disabled.
• I checked the drivers for the keyboard and mouse and they are updated.
• I checked to see if PC has KB4074588 and it does not.

I am not sure what else to do.... I can go days without the issue and then days where anytime I step away from the PC it stops working.

I can say when it is working it just does not just stop ... only when I walk away and the machine is idle or the screen is locked.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

My wired earbuds aren't always working with my laptop.

I put my new earbuds into my laptop and could immediately hear audio with them. After a restart, I couldn't. My Windows version is 10.0.19044 Build 19044.
