Easy Anti-Cheat Driver Incompatible with Kernel-Mode Hardware-Enforced Stack Protection

It’s a well-known issue that’s been around for years—Easy Anti-Cheat, developed by Epic Games and required for many online games, prevents Kernel-Mode Hardware-Enforced Stack Protection from being enabled.I’m left with two options: either uninstall Easy Anti-Cheat, which means I can’t play several online games, or keep Kernel-Mode protection disabled, which isn't ideal. Is there any solution to this problem after all these years?and if there aren't any solutions to this,Many players have already reported it, but can you let me know the best contacts or channels to report this issue again? It’s

Can't enable Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection, no Incompatible Drivers

    Hi Dustin-B

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Last month Microsoft released an Update that caused an LSA error to appear in Windows Security, then they released an update to patch that LSA bug and that has introduced a new bug (Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection) that you are now seeing.

it is unclear what is causing this bug, some indicate it is an incompatible driver or an anti-cheat game engine causing the bug, but either way we now need to wait for Microsoft to resolve this bug, there is currently no fix for this.

    Kernel-Mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection missing

    Hello,

I have a problem in my windows 11. Recently, I disabled the Kernel-Mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection in the menu in Core Isolation to play Fortnite which has this anti-cheat machine which conflicts with Kernel-Mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection. When I finished playing the game, went back to reenable the Kernel-Mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection and the option is not there any more. I see a memory access protection which also has not enable-disable button.

Lastly, It said that TPM was not available, I should check my BIOS. After 2-3 restarts the error was gone.

TPM is enabled by default from my BIOS and cannot be turned off. I have no idea what happened.

Any ideas? How to get it working and how to reappear in the windows settings? s

Also, when using msinfo32.exe it says that Kernel DMA protection is on. Is it the same?

Easy Anti-Cheat Driver Incompatible with Kernel-Mode Hardware-Enforced Stack Protection

EA Games - Squadrons - Incompatible with kernel-mode hardware-enforced stack protection

    Hi.

I attempted to ask this question in the past, but for some reason the thread I started has been locked for reasons unknown.

Thread was: Allow exception for Windows 11 kernel-mode hardware-enforced stack protection - Redirecting

So I am re-posting this as I am getting the run around from all companies involved.

In short I am using a game from EA Games, purchased via Steam, called Squadrons, which uses an extension/driver called Easy Anti Cheat (EAC) which is distributed/licensed by Epic Games.

When trying to use this game, I get an error 1275, which is due to some incompatibility with Windows 11 kernel-mode hardware-enforced stack protection and their version of Easy anti Cheat.

EA Games and Epic provide a fix to simply disable the security of the system to allow it to work.

Clearly I am not happy with this, as compromising security in this day and age is a very bad idea.

Seeking path to either allow an exception for the one game to run, or to find pathway to get EA Games to be made to update EAC driver, as almost all other software vendors that use EAC have done, to fix the core issue here.

I have family members with same issue, and have advised them not to disable security.

Wondering who would be liable in case of being compromised and been ad advised to turn off security that could have prevented issues.

Seeking information and feedback on this, and hopefully a better solution to the situation.

    Thanks.
