Windows 10: Ebay laptop already set up

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but just wondering if anyone could help.

I've bought a basic cheap laptop for my grandad to potter about on from Ebay and the laptop has been delivered but has already been set up. I was expecting to have to go through all of the setting up steps myself but this is not the case and when opened, it immediately logged into an admin account user.

Could this be dodgy? My grandad would not be doing anything like internet banking on it but will be checking his emails and ordering things over the Internet.

Should I do a factory reset of this Dell Latitude laptop, and if I did, would I then lose Windows 10? The Ebay seller said its a fresh install.

License expiring on a laptop bought on ebay

Hi all,

I bought a 'opened but never used' laptop on ebay, advertised as having genuine windows 10 pro.

After about a couple of months use at home I started getting the license will expire message. The option I have is to change product key and its saying its activated using your organisations activation service.

There was no product key sticker on box or laptop and was not supplied in any form to me. I just started using laptop assuming all is set up and correct.

I messaged user on ebay and they are suggesting i buy a key off another ebay user - for a couple of quid - which sounds very fishy.

Is the problem fixable or have I bought a dud?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
