Windows 10: Edge and Dropbox Problem

    I notice that I'm not able to drag-n-drop photos from Windows 10 to Dropbox using Edge. Able to do it with IE.

    File updates to Dropbox

    Previously Windows 7, upgraded to version 10. Most things seem to be working ok.

    One problem noticed - With version 7, if I wanted to update an existing file in my Dropbox account, all I had to do is open Dropbox (using IE 10), then click and drag the new file from my PC to Dropbox. The file would automatically update Dropbox to the
    current version. After the MS version 10 operating system upgrade, using the new Edge Browser, the file will not copy to Dropbox. If I use the Chrome browser to open Dropbox, the file can be updated as before.

    Not a fan of this new Edge browser. I will stick with Chrome.

    I wanted to send this message to MS but I'll be damn if I can find anywhere to communicate to those folks!

    Troubleshoot problems opening the Start menu or Cortana

    These instructions that are running around aren't helpful to a lot of people. It's pathetic how long this problem has been around. We have similar problems on several machines.

    We were able to fix one by deleting DropBox. In that case, the critical error message repeated unceasingly, the start menu and Cortana ceased working, EDGE ceased functioning and Word 365 could not open previous versions of Word files. Getting rid of DropBox
    fixed all the problems. Anyone using DropBox should check that out. Others seem to have had the same problem with DropBox and Win 10 (previous windows versions seem to work fine with DropBox).

    On other machines, the windows start menu, EDGE, Cortana, IE 11 all ceased working after a while (random lengths of time). No DropBox on these machines. Signing out and signing back in got them working again for a period of time but it remains an annoying
    requirement. This problem has NOT been fixed using all the recommendations that have been made.

    Whether it's just Win10 or a combo of Win10 with third party software, it's clear that Win10 is unreliable and needs some work.
