Windows 10: Edge and Firefox freezing up when trying to attach file in Yahoo Mail

It freezes up when I navigate to the downloads folder and scroll to find the file. I am able to END TASK without having to close the browsers, but the problem remains. Alienware 15R4.

Settled on Edge with Yahoo Mail


After numerous trial runs I settled on MS Edge with Yahoo Mail. Choose Edge due to its simplicity and speed. Choose Yahoo Mail because of it flawless performance and ease of use. GMail and Oulook would not sync. Firefox is a very good browser yet I like simplicity and speed. I remain open minded. A big thank you to TenForums members. Btw, my systems specifications are coming soon.

  Do you get any error message when accessing Yahoo?
  

I would suggest you to access Yahoo using Internet Explorer and check if it helps.

I suggest you to click on following link and Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue.

Since yahoo is working in edge (windows 10) and you are trying to access yahoo in Firefox, I would suggest you to post this query in Firefox forum to get you assisted better.

• Is this issue specific to Mozilla Firefox? - Yes, it is only with Firefox
  
• Did you tried using different web browser? - Yes, Edge and I was able to complete the task
  
• What happens when you try to attach or download the content? - computer freezes, do nothing
  
• Will it give any error message or error code? - No error messages
