    Edge Browser Closes When Attempting To Share Tab In Live Stream


    Hello,


    I recently purchased a PC running Windows 10 Pro with an Intel Core i5 processor and 16GB RAM for better streaming quality. However, whenever I attempt to share a browser tab during my live stream, the entire browser simply closes. I use Restream.io and have been in contact with their support team and thus far they are unable to figure this out either. They suggested switching browsers to Google Chrome, which I did, yet the issue still persists. I can use this same feature tab sharing during a live stream on my Goolge Pixelbook, as well as on an Acer laptop that I have running Windows 10 Home Edition which has lead me to believe that this has something to do with Windows 10 Pro.
    All other functions work properly, and I would much rather use the Edge browser exclusively on this particular PC. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated!

    Edge Not Streaming Live

    Hi Kailey,

    This issue could be due to Edge settings or the video format is not supported. To properly isolate this issue, kindly verify the following:

    • Does the issue happen on all video streaming websites?
    • Have you tried running Windows update to check for any improvements for the Edge browser?

    Edge browser not closing when too many tabs are opened

    when I open a lot of tabs sometimes I cant close any of these tabs I press the x on the tab but it does not close I even can ot close edge browser completely by pressing the x buton

    but I can close it by right click on the edge icon and close

    does anyone got that proplem ?

    Always close all tabs??

    Hi,

    Follow the steps to get Edge browser to display the "Wish to close all tabs"

    • Click Windows Start.
    • Type Regedit.
    • Click Edit Menu.
    • Click Find
    • Type “AskToCloseAllTabs“.
    • Right Click and Choose Modify
    • Change the value from '0' to '1'
    • Close Regedit


    Restart Edge, and check if it now displays the option back.
