Windows 10: Edge causing sound to stop

I was playing a Youtube video via Edge then the sound just terminated. The only way to get sound back I discovered was to kill Edge, then Mp3 replays could be heard playing. Happening regularly in the last month. Nothing has changed in the last month other than Windows updates, it started just over a weeks ago so I'm assuming its to do with one of the windows updates: KB5033375, KB 5032288, KB4023057, KB KB5032190 or KB5032007Dell Inspire 15 5510 Laptop, Windows 11Fault bucket , type 0Event Name: ScriptedDiagFailureResponse: Not availableCab Id:&

Microsoft Edge has stopped woorking

There may be a number of reasons why suddenly Edge would stop working. The first troubleshooting step that we can try is to run the troubleshooter for Windows apps. Check out

If the above step won't work, we also suggest resetting Edge. For this, follow the steps below:

• Close Microsoft Edge browser.
• On the Cortana search bar, type Default App settings.
• Click on Microsoft Edge (the list may not include Edge if your operating system is not on Creators Update.)
• Under Microsoft Edge, click Advanced options.
• Click the Reset button and confirm.
• Restart your PC.
