Windows 10: Edge clearing protected passwords and cookies on exit

As of yesterday, Microsoft Edge has started clearing stored passwords and logins, together with cookies from sites which are specifically set to be retained on exit. I've checked and rechecked the settings but they're all set to keep passwords and logins, and 'prevent clearing of these sites'. I've tried toggling the settings, and enabling keep and store everything but they're still cleared on exit.


I have the latest version of Edge Microsoft Edge is up to date. Version 86.0.622.38 Official build 64-bit and Windows is up to date too.


Just to make the point, this only started happening yesterday 10th October. Any idea what's going on?

Kindly follow the below steps to manage cookies in Microsoft Edge.

• Open Microsoft Edge.
• Click on More options (… symbol) on the top right corner of the browser.
• Select Settings from the drop down menu.
• Click on Choose what to clear under
  Clear browsing data.
• Check the Cookies and saved website data
  (and any other data you want to clear) and click on
  Clear button.

Firefox Clearing Cookies on Exit.

Every time I exit out of Firefox and reopen it it clears all my cookies. And My browser history. And I have checked every thing on tools and everything is the same but for some reason it is doing this and I am getting tired of logging in over and over. What could it be? And since this has started I installed the Battlefield Heroes client, could that be making it do it?

We have a situation where we would like to clear passwords / cookies on exit from Edge for a particular web site. Chrome has that function of 'Clear o Exit', can you pl. let me know similar function from Edge?
