Windows 10: Edge definitely given the boot for time being

Using Edge causes my network adapter to stop working and I lose the internet connection. Getting it back takes at least five minutes. Restarting windows then hangs on restart so I have to force a shutdown.

Would report in windows feedback but it doesn't come up when I type it in the search menu.

agreed. if you are in the USA, then there is very poor coverage. i was happy that it was not the same cost of all my comunicators, though for what it does, i found it hard to believe so inexpensive.

there are some things that are really annoying as the delay when you are in the phone and tap on select contact. some say it is instanteous, but they only have 200 or so contacts. it takes between 8-12 seconds to open up with my 992 contacts. that is
not really acceptable.

however, after a reboot, tapping on a product (ie-calendar, contacts, email, conversations, phone, photos, etc.) takes about 1 second the first time, but IS instantaneous after that. (though "instantaneous" is really still about 1 second, but your eyes
are distracted by the "shwoop" and the graphics. same like the iphone that everyone thinks is instant)

either way, still MUCH faster then Symbian was.

i have rather bigger hands then normal and even when on the web brower have very few issues tapping even on the smallest of links. actually, often i try something that way and am supprised by the accuracy i do get with the tip or pad of my finger.

the resisive screen is MUCH MORE accurate then a capacitive screen. this is why on a compacitive screen all the icons are usually much bigger. there is a give-n-take on both, but though i used to be more of a capacitive type liker, have really grown to
like the resisitive as they continue to get better because of the ab ility to have cold hands and still hae it work and tap it with ANYTHING and also to be able to have more on the screen because the tap is more accurate.

yes! only 2.5 monhs old and proly close to 1000 or so. just the begining.

AGREED!!!! i hope they finally fix this with the next QT update! and also add the ability to use the different colored calendar feature to sync like it was supposed to.

bummer. i would share my picture, but dont need everyone reading my email! works like a charm with every picture i have tried just to see how often it did work.

i have one of a picture with cars in it where you can see all the license plates in a high UV position...if i can blank a couple of the digits, i will post for you.

@6, lol...that is proof that there are a lot of apps already if you can need more desktops. not that you can put "shortcuts or contacts etc". on an iphone or such.

@7, Palm! lol....after thier initial push here in the Bay Area, and setting the mark for the PDA market, they were always a day late and dollar behind. yet the have had the best pda-type ablilities, along with the symbian s80 devices. but grafitti???
lol. youre showing your "age" but i do understand, once you are used to it, you are!

i took a picture and sprayed a couple of the numbers so you can see.

remember, this was directly sun in my face on a rained day, with high uv that makes you squint and through a windshield that was dirty.

i dont think it is bad, especially for the conditions and being a phone.

Edge is a fairly large program. Have you been able to replicate the issue under any other circumstances? Other browsers, other heavy network applications? Have you gone to the manufactures website to download any recent or new drivers? They may have new network drivers. Does it only happen in a certain website and not on others? Any other issues?

Due to this and several other irritating problems but mainly that I lose my internet connection and it takes 10 minutes to sort during which time restart computer doesn't work, so its back to 8.1 for me.

After computeractive magazine showed a way of setting the default browser I came back to 10 however it doesn't work at least for me. Also even using IE 11 I lose the internet connection from time to time, rebooting causes a hang on a screen saying restarting and it takes about 15 minutes to get connected again.
