EDGE error 2484 - too long to suspend

    Error 2484
Edge "took too long to suspend" appears in Event Viewer frequently on several PCs. EDGE works, and the error is benign. But can it be overcome?

    These suggestions have been tried...

    Reinstalled EDGE
    Ran the STORE apps troubleshooter
    Disabled IPV6
    Enabled UAC
Verified that "fast start" is unchecked in ABOUT:FLAGS
    SFC is clean
    Latest video driver is installed

    :)

    > Are you working on a domain environment?

    • Private home PC and laptop - both see these errors

      > Are you running an Insider Preview build?

      No

      > Have you checked if the issue persists on a different user account?

Two machines - same error, so that pretty much rules out an account issue

      > Have you tried to restore your system to an earlier point? If this issue happened recently, do a system restore

      > by going to Control Panel > Search for Recovery > Open System Restore > Next > Select a restore point

      > Next > Finish.

Fresh install on laptop; system image restore on PC and both machines have been restarted many times

This appears to be a timing issue, as EDGE is operating normally

Personal opinion, but I have learned you will go crazy trying to fix the benign errors in Win10. It is a challenge and fun to try.

If Edge is performing properly don't be concerned.

I'm not, and that's good advice. Still, if an error is persistent... .
