Windows 10: Edge No Longer Saving Favorites

For years I have saved favorites by clicking on the blank star to the left of the star with lines that opens the Favorites drop down. Never a problem. A week ago or so I saved a new Favorite, no problem. Now, since yesterday Friday, August 2nd, I can no longer save new Favorites. Is this a known malfunction? How do I fix it? Thanks.

Saving Favorites

I'm using Edge with Windows 10. Whenever I try to add a website to my Favorites List or Favorites Bar, I'm given the option of naming the favorite and saving it to either the list or the bar, but nothing actually gets saved. I get no error at the time
of saving. I have no option to "Create In" which someone on this forum suggested. The only option is to Save, but the short cut is never saved in my Favorites folder. My folder is set up under Users\Owner\Favorites. Is it possible these are being saved
somewhere else?

• Can you clarify what you meant by reinstalling favorites in Microsoft Edge?
• What are the steps you have done to resolve this?

You can import favorites you've saved from a different web browser to Microsoft Edge. You might want to consider importing these and check if the same thing happens. Click this

Favorites disappeared in edge

I would like to inform you that all your favorites saved in Microsoft Edge web browser are located in the file path-

%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Spartan_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\Spartan\User\Default\Favorites

If you have saved the same web browsers in Internet Explorer you can import them to Edge by following the steps below:

• 
  Go to "More Actions" by selecting the
  "(...)" in the upper right corner of the Edge window.
  
• 
  Select "Settings"
  
• 
  Turn on (select) the "Show the favorites bar"
  
• 
  "Import favorites from another browser" will appear. Select it.
  
• 
  Choose the browser from which you want to import your favorites.
  
• 
  Select "Import".
