Windows 10: Edge overlay on image icons

    Hi.In windows explorer, some JPG images not all have the microsoft edge logo in the bottom right.Why? Why would anyone want to see that? genuine question what possible functions does it serve?But asides from that GPT tells me its because edge is set as default for images. Well its not. Photos app is and sure enough if I double click those images they open in photos app.How do I get rid of the Microsoft edge logo? dont worry needy Microsoft, I use edge by default!GPT says to change the default app, well the default app ain't edge!

    Icon overlays in Windows 10

    Hi,

    There are currently 15 slots allotted for icon overlays in the system image list of Windows 10. 4 of these are reserved for the system, and OneDrive uses 5, leaving six slots for use by other icon overlay handlers. If more than 15 icon overlays are registered
    in the system, the extra icon overlays aren't used. This limit of 15 overlay icons applies to Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.

    Unknown icon overlay on Windows 10 desktop icons

    My Windows 10 desktop icons sport an unknown icon overlay. Here's a screen shot of it which suggest a couple of stick people. The check mark on a green disk is OneDrive sync and is OK. Next to that is what appears to be a stick people couple.

    The overlay only appears on the actual Desktop icons and not in the Desktop folder view.

    Do you know what that stick couple overlay represents?
