Windows 10: Edge seems to be enabling Sticky Keys

Hello,


When using Edge, it seems to enable Sticky Keys about 70% of the time. It makes the sound and then the Alt key is stuck, which means when we type applications start opening and other functions act as if alt is on. When we reboot, the problem goes away until we use Edge which is the main app we use, so others may be affected infected? as well.


We have tried:

* different keyboards and even the digital keyboard.

* toggling the Sticky Keys settings were off but toggle on and off.

* different profiles happens on other standard user profiles - local accounts and linked Microsoft accounts.


We also noticed that the same time this started the shutdown/reboot behavior changed. It now pops up the 3 selections of do we want to Continue Exit and continue to Windows 10, Troubleshoot Reset your PC or see advanced options, Turn off PC.


Has anyone run into this?

How can we fix it?

What caused this?

Enabling Sticky Keys in XP

So I decided to uncheck all the boxes and disable activation of sticky keys and/or toggle keys when I press/hold shift. Is there a way to enable them again?

This issue can be due to incorrect settings in your PC. Let us go ahead and check the Control Panel and make sure that everything is set correctly for your Sticky Keys to function properly. Here's how:

• Type Control Panel in the Search field located at the taskbar.
  
• Select Control Panel from the list.
• Go to Ease of Access.
• Choose Ease of Access Center.
• Click Set up Sticky Keys.
• Make sure that the box is checked to turn on Sticky Keys.
• Click Apply then OK to save the settings.

Hi,

Sticky keys dialog box appears when you have press the Shift key five times continuously. It also lets you use the Shift, Ctrl, ALT, or Windows Logo keys by pressing one key at a time. You can set up Sticky Keys from the Ease of Access Center on the Control
Panel. Follow the steps below:

• Press the Shift key five times.
• Once the dialog box appear, click the Go to the Ease of Access Center to disable keyboard shortcut link.
  
• It will open the Set up Sticky Notes window in the Control Panel.
• Uncheck Turn on Sticky Keys when SHIFT is pressed five times option.
• You can also set the settings to your desired option.

After doing so, check if the same pop-up will appear while playing the game.
