Edge surprisingly good on Linux !!!

    Hi there
Edge running on Fedora rel 34 ( remember fedora 34 is itself a beta release too) with kernel 5-11-14-300.fc34.x89_64 running quite well -- giving Firefox a run for its money !!! although I still prefer menus in FF and the better toolbars.

Anybody running Linux VM's -- try it -- it seems a much better performer on Linux than Windows !!

    Build is ver 91 (DEV)

I've already tried on Arch Linux -- even easier installing it on that - just install from the AUR.

For Fedora just download the .rpm file from Microsoft and install. - Should work for SUSE/OPENSUSE and other .rpm types of package installation. For UBUNTU etc use the .deb files and appropriate package manager.

    Cheers

    :)

Guide: How to enable, use, and configure SLI on Linux.

I guess the next logical step would be to report on the performance you can get with SLI in Linux. That'd be my suggestion anyway.

  3. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

    Bitdefender - Surprisingly good

    Hey

Just wanted to add I've tested and bought Bitdefender for my new Win 10 system. (Build 18365.815)
    It is surprisingly good!

I am an advanced user, who works with Windows and Mac support to end users.
I've tested most anti-evil code software. And so far Comodo been a favorite of mine because how much you can do with it.

However, Bitdefender, is pretty badword good at automaticly doing the right thing.
The VPN is brilliant! Only backside it they slow down your internet to 100Mbit. (I can live with that since the VPN is the most solid Ive found since Veritas File system on Unix)

Thats it, just wanted to add there is a good, simple, protection out there.
You need to buy it though. The free version is junk.
