Windows 10: Edit in photos video editing not working

This problem is oddly specific, as I can't find anyone else with the same problem.Im trying to cut some videos down with "Edit in photos" and when I try to save it to a new folder, it just sits on the loading screen. Nothing happens, I've tried everything and nothing seems to suffice.This problem has only started since this new interface has been implimented. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Im running windows 10 version 22H2.Thanks!

Can't edit text in Video Editor App

Can't edit or add text in any Video frame or title card.

I have tried following steps:

1. Upgrading Windows to latest build
2. Repairing the Photos App
3. Re-installing the Photos App

None of the above steps worked for me. Please let me know if anyone has a solution.

 

Automatic Update Made Photo Editing Not Work Correctly

This is NOT solved--just fixed.
Microsoft ran an automated update a couple of days ago and now photo editing is not working the way it did previously. I shoot a lot of photos for a local news website and after editing, saved them with new names that help me sort--so, for example, football photos might be F1, f2, etc. After the update, when i edit a photo, it saves only as a copy of the original name (IMG4028, for example, so I get IMG4028(2). Only after I do that, do I get the "save as" option back, which means i either give up my naming convention or have two or more copies of everything.
Any suggestions? The "save as" option does not appear in the first step anymore.

ADDED: It's the software that came bundled with the Windows 10 Edge computer--it's just the Photos app.

Editing a Video in Photos

Hello, all!

I used to be able to "trim" a video in Photos, but now I am unable to do so. It won't let me save it at all. I can exit out, but the "save as" button is not on and will not work. I used to do this all the time!

I also tried to use Video Editor and uploaded the video, but it only allows me to edit a Zoom video as a photo. Again, still cannot trim it at all. Very frustrating.

What is the best way to edit a video? I have one video that needs to be cut in half essentially.
