Windows 10: Edit Partition C (Windows 10 Pro)

Good morning,

I called on the Microsoft community to ask for your opinion on installing Windows 10 Pro. Dear Sir / Madam, Please tell me when I install Windows 10 Pro and when I get to the partitions I see that partition C (Windows 10 Pro) is the second partition after partition D (documents). I have two partitions as follows:
-a 1000 GB partition which is the first one with files (documents)
-a 256GB partition which is the second partition that I want to install Windows on this partition
I want to reverse the partition with Windows 10 to be the first and the file partition to be the second partition. How is this done ???

You can follow the steps provided below to be able to downgrade to Windows 7:

• Open Settings.
• Select Update & security.
• Click Recovery tab.
• Look for the option to "Go back to Windows 7/8", and click on "Get Started" to begin the process.

no, you can't go back..
I suggest creating a backup image of your os drive

 

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that
