  1. Edit Windows hello saved credentials?

I have one VM, where, when I use my fingerprint from Remote Desktop, it tries to log in as my admin account instead of my regular user account.Where would I remove a saved credential from Windows Hello?Under TERMSRV/... under Windows Credentials, I do not see the admin account listed.I have to assume Windows Hello uses a different storage.

    :)

    Hello Forrest,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to Save the password in Credential Manager and check if that helps.

    Refer to the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X.
    • Click on Control Panel.
    • Click on Credential Manager and select
      Windows Credentials
      .
    • Go down to Generic Credentials and select MicrosoftAccount:user=<user_name>
(where <user_name> should be your user name).
    • Click Edit and Change the password and press Save.
    • Check if issue persists.

Hope this will fix the issue, if not let us know with the updated status and we will be happy to assist you further.

How to list / delete FIDO2 Resident Key credentials from Windows Hello

When using Windows Hello to register with a WebAuthn-enabled website, the credential type can be set to "Resident Key", such as with a Microsoft Account (or on Anmelden – Google Konten by
editing the settings in the menu). Resident credentials are stored on the device (Windows Hello TPM / Software device, or a FIDO2 security key).

On a YubiKey 5Ci you can list / delete these credentials from the CLI with the commands ykman fido list / delete. How do I do this for Windows Hello?
