Windows 10: Editing/adding an MP4 tag for the preview pane in Win 10 file explorer

I googled:Edit preview tag images for mp4 files in Win10I've discovered I can store zillions of movies on a few 512 flash drives to watch from anywhere and want to add preview images to quickly find the movie I want.Double click to enlarge. There are no tags shown for each feature, clicking on the image in the details only starts the movie and there's no apparent way to change it.Why is it that a simple question gets a simple answer, but it never works?

Setting the Preview pane to show or hide in File Explorer will apply to all folders. If you wish to hide the Preview pane in File Explorer, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Tap on View tab.
• Click Preview Pane to view/hide it.

mp4 files not visible in preview pane

in windows 10, in preview pane in file explorer,

i can see all video files, except mp4 files. why?

it only says no preview available for selected file
