Windows 10: Editing Metadata in Details Pane

Hi,I installed a new Windows update and lost the ability to edit metadata in the Details Pane. It used to look like this: Now it looks like this:As you can see, it's a loss of functionality. I can't edit the metadata from the folder view anymore. It wants me to click the Properties button to be able to do that, but that a opens a new window, b requires me to open said windows to even view what metadata it has, and c is far, far less efficient than the old way of doing it considering I manage hundreds of files per day.I want to stress this, for clarity, because I've looked up older questions

Thanks for your feedback, I understand your frustration with the new File Explorer Details pane in Windows 11. Unfortunately, the ability to edit metadata directly from the Details pane has been removed in the new version. However, you can still edit metadata by opening the Properties dialog box for each file or folder.



Microsoft attaches great importance to user experience, you can submit your ideas and suggestions through the Feedback Hub, and the development team will regularly review submissions for ideas or fixes.

Edit metadata autocomplete list for pictures/music files

I cannot find a way to delete/edit the autocomplete list displayed when editing the metadata on pictures. I get a list of previous entries (some of which are just plain junk) and would like to delete those as suggestions. I tried the steps with the following
link and did not have any success. I do not have a AUTOCOMPLETE listing under "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer".

What gives you the right to make my computer less useful by changing the details pane so I can no longer edit metadata?

Hi, what file type(s) are in question here? I just checked, in the Properties > Details pane, I can edit the metadata of Office, music, and video files still.
