Windows 10: Editing PIF files in Windows 10

    I have a PIF file (which really is an exec file) that is used to open an old invoicing program in DOS. Yes, crazy that we're still use a DOS program. Does anyone know how i can edit it so that it doesn't become corrupted. I tried using a text editor like Notepad which enabled me to edit the file but as i could only save it as a text file, it rendered it inactive. I've tried searching the web for a PIF file editor suitable for Windows 10 but i get a heap of info on how

    to open the file, nothing about editors. Even a PIF editor i could use with Windows XP. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
