    Windows tells me that they've started a great initiative to save the environment by putting unneeded tasks in efficiency mode. So all of us users can feel great about using a little less energy than we would have.The only problem is that I've only seen efficiency mode working on browsers. It activates on Chrome as well as Edge. The efficiency mode makes it so even opening a website takes 30 seconds for the page to fully load. YouTube hangs up and shuts down if you click on a video without waiting for the page to fully load. Some crappy government websites don't open at all.The irony is, that w

    Setting to power saving mode will save more power. Optimum power efficiency provides better performance per watt, but it does not save more power.

    Cannot disable efficiency mode on Firefox.

    I cannot disable efficiency mode for firefox.

    How do I permanently disable this feature for Firefox? The option to do so is greyed out in the task manager. For other programs, efficiency mode can be enabled and disabled, but not for Firefox, which is also the only program to be in efficiency mode. I do not want my browser to run unnecessarily poorly.
