Windows 10: Efficiency Mode is greyed outWindows 11

Im on Windows 11 and i have the problem that some pocesses are in effiency mode. I can't turn this setting off in the task manager because its greyed out. Is there a way to disable the effiency mode when its greyed out or do I have to live with it? I found this problem because a game was lagging but my cpu or anything else was over 30%

How do I permanently disable this feature for Firefox? The option to do so is greyed out in the task manager. For other programs, efficiency mode can be enabled and disabled, but not for Firefox, which is also the only program to be in efficiency mode. I do not want my browser to run unnecessarily poorly.

That switch is (and has been) OFF, with ZERO effect.

This (anti) efficiency mode has DESTRYED any efficiency this new computer had.

My 10 year old Widows 10 computer is orders of magnitude more efficient than this new Windows 11 machine!

Hi Gavin, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

This was a problem to me as well in Edge. I had hardware acceleration enabled but I still see Efficiency mode on processes under Edge most of the time. The only solution that worked for me was to put this command at the end of the Target field in Edge shortcut properties. This works for Chrome as well.

--disable-features=UseEcoQoSForBackgroundProcess
