Windows 10: EgisTec Touch Fingerprint Sensor not working

Hello,I noticed recently that, for some reason, my computer is not allowing me to log in using my fingerprint anymore. I checked my device manager and saw that the Biometrics devices were not showing up. I then went to View -> Show hidden devices, where I saw that the EgisTech sensor is grayed out and the status shows:Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. Code 45 To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.Updating the driver does nothing because it says that it's current. I tried Rolling Back the Driver to when it last worked, but nothi

Hi, my computer Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 has just updated to Windows 11 Home and my fingerprint sensor which is Egistec Touch Fingerprint sensor has stopped working. On device manager, it said that this hardware device is not connected to the computer.

I'm sorry to hear that your fingerprint sensor is not working after updating to Windows 11 Home on your Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5.

Please try to disable and re-enable the fingerprint sensor and see if that helps

Press the Windows key + X, and select Device Manager.

Expand Biometric devices.

Right-click on the Egistec Touch Fingerprint sensor and select Disable device.

Wait a few seconds and then right-click again and select Enable device.

If the issue persists, please try to reinstall the driver

Press the Windows key + X, and select Device Manager.

Expand Biometric devices and locate your Egistec Touch Fingerprint sensor.

Right-click on the sensor and select Uninstall device.

Check the box for Delete the driver software for this device and click Uninstall.

Restart your computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the generic driver.

Fingerprint on my Lenovo windows 11 no longer works

Hello, my fingerprint no longer works on my Windows 7, it appears as unavailable. I tried updating the biometric devices as other threads suggested, but even after restarting my computer, it still doesn't work. I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14ALC7 and the current sensor that I see is the "EgisTec Touch Fingerprint Sensor". Not having the fingerprint work is frustrating, please help.
