Weird Noise after Anniversary Update

Hello John,

Let’s check what is causing that weird sound on your laptop.

Based on the link that you had provided, it seems that it’s either your CPU fan or Hard drive which is creating that sound.

If it’s the CPU fan, it might be an issue due to heavy processing, processor heating up or changes made during the update. If it’s your Hard drive, the issue might be with HDD performance. We suggest you to back up all your data to your external drive

Step 1: Check your Task Manager

Close all applications and check in task manager for any high usage of resources by any process.

• Press Ctrl + Shift+ Esc together to open task manager.

• Take note of any Applications that are taking High CPU usages and try to disable it if it’s not that important.

Step 2: Start your computer in Safe Mode

• Press Windows + W, and type troubleshooting.

Hardware and device troubleshooter is an inbuilt troubleshooter that will find the issues with hardware devices and try to fix them automatically.

My pc gets stuck at the AORUS logo after some weird noises

For some time, my pc has been doing random weird noises. It isn't your classic "beep" sound, it's more lika a mechanical noise coming from inside the PC. These noises usually lasted for a few seconds until it stopped and then started again after some hours. The noises are really annoying so sometimes I tried suspending the pc to make it stop but I noticed the the pc never suspended until the weird noises were over.

The noises completely stopped for a week or two until they came back in full force. Now they can last minutes before stopping. I tried suspending my pc today but it took more than usual to suspend, and today I wasn't in the greatest-mood-ever to be honest so my genius idea was shutting the power off. Then I turned it on again and my pc never got past the AORUS eagle logo and the loading circle. Sometimes it says "Preparing automatic repairs". I do have access to the BIOS before getting stuck. The weird noises always happen when I turn my pc on, it doesn't always last more than a few seconds though.

I don't think this will be related, but I spent the last two months without internet and the weird noises started in those two months. I've had internet for less than week at this point. Thanks in advance.
