Windows 10: Eject CD

Discus and support Eject CD in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I put a DVD into the disk drive but it wouldn't show up on the computer so I tried to take it out, but the button won't work and since it won't show up...     Eject CD


    I put a DVD into the disk drive but it wouldn't show up on the computer so I tried to take it out, but the button won't work and since it won't show up I can't do it from the PC folder. Please help!

    Here are two popular methods:

    • You press the Eject button on the CD tray.
    • You launch Windows Explorer, then right-click drive E: (assuming that this is your CD drive). This lets you left-click the
      Eject command.

    Hi GunWakefield, I'm Graeme, an independent adviser here to help.

    If you're unable to eject your CD by using the hardware button on the drive, you can follow these steps to eject it within Windows:

    - Open File Explorer (Windows Key+E)

    - Right-click on your CD drive and select Eject.

    This should eject your CD drive. If it doesn't, let me know what happens and I'll provide other options!

    Frederik. I didn't even know that there was an eject button on the CD tray. So, I found the button and it works. When I press it the CD ejects. However, when I click on "eject" on a pull down menu on the screen It does NOT eject. Thanks for your help.
