  1. Eject Media Safely Popup Window Doesn't Show Up

So this is something that has been bothering me for a while. Whenever I use the "eject media safely icon" in bottom right section of the taskbar

to eject things like flash drives and external hard drives, in the past (Windows 8 and 7), I used to get a little pop up message that confirmed that the drive was ejected safely. This is what I'm referring to:

But in Windows 10, I don't get this little pop-up anymore! I honestly found it to be really useful in the past, because sometimes my drives didn't eject immediately and I had to wait. Without this pop-up, I have no indication of whenever they're done other than to have file explorer itself open and wait for the drive to disappear from the "my computer" section. This is obviously not ideal.

Is there any way to turn this notification bubble back on in Windows 10, or is it gone forever?

    :)

Missing Eject in "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" List

    Hi Tze Lin Wong,

The configuration to this can be found under settings. To enable this feature follow these steps:

    • Right-click the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
    • Under Notification Area, choose
Select which icons appear on the taskbar.
    • Scroll to Windows Explorer: Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media
      and turn it on.

If this doesn't work, I suggest that you check with your USB drive manufacturer for new drivers or other updates.

    All the best.

  3. Missing Eject in "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" List

I use to be able to eject my USB drive via "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" with list as below:

    - Open Devices and Printers
    - Eject Data Traveler 111
    - USB Drive (DEject Media Safely Popup Window Doesn't Show Up :)
    - Eject My Passport Ultra
    - My Passport (EEject Media Safely Popup Window Doesn't Show Up :)

However recently the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" list seems corrupted and shows:

    - Open Devices and Printers
    - USB Drive (DEject Media Safely Popup Window Doesn't Show Up :)

    - My Passport (EEject Media Safely Popup Window Doesn't Show Up :)

with { - USB Drive (DEject Media Safely Popup Window Doesn't Show Up :) } and { - My Passport (EEject Media Safely Popup Window Doesn't Show Up :) } are grayed out.

Currently the only way for me is go to file explorer and right click the removable drive and click Eject.

    Please help!
