Windows 10: Elan finger print sensor not working

hello i currently own an asus M570d notebook pc. recently I came into an issue which made my pc to be stuck in troubleshoot page and unable to load . for this i had to install windows 10 again and install all the drivers needed. but for some reason my fingerprint pad does not work.in windows hello finger print it says that the option is not available and in the devise manager this is the error that come up :This device cannot start. Code 10 {Device Timeout} The specified I/O operation on %hs was not completed before the time-out period expired. i've tried updating the driver and installing

Finger Print sensor not working

Recently my finger print sensor not working. I check the device manager and there is the error code i pasted below.

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.

How to solve this problem?

 

Reinstall ELAN Finger Print Scan Device

My finger print scanner was not working although I updated the driver. I unistalled it, but wish to reinstall the ELan driver, what do I do? THanks for any help. Model number is HP ENVY Laptop - 17m-cg0013dx , Serial number: CND0134828
