Windows 10: ELAN Touchpad lagging on initial touch

I just got the LG Gram 15 laptop.

The ELAN touchpad delays/lags a bit when my finger first touches the pad. The mouse on the screen "jumps" a bit to compensate the delay. Seems like it is deliberately done to prevent accidental mouse movement upon click.

But it is sooo annoying. I cannot make any precise movements. Can anyone tell me how to disable it?

TouchPad makers can integrate their controls/options directly into the mouse control panel, or sometimes they put it in another entirely. It's really all over the place because whomever built the touchpad, or the company that bundled it into the laptop
hardware, gets to decide where to put the options. Since it's not built right into the OS, we can't really tell you exactly where or how to adjust the sensitivity or special features (like what Synaptics calls PalmCheck or other accidental-touch-blocking-tricks)
that your touchpad might have with it. Best bet is to ask LG directly or consult your owner's manual.

At a baseline, you could try running the command main.cpl from your Run box and see if the touchpad options were bundled into that control panel, but again it's totally up to the company that built it, so it may or may not be there.
