Windows 10: ELAN Touchpad not working, tried everything

Hello, I am losing my mind, I don't know if my exact scenario has been solved, since I haven't found any answer on this website, or the internet. I'll try be as short and as precise as possible. I had to reinstall windows for a HP 250 G9 6Q947ES which initially had Windows 11, I wanted to install windows 10, as I don't like windows 11, i downloaded media creation tool to my usb, configured bios to boot from usb, as soon as the windows 10 installation came up I could not use the trackpad, i was thinking maybe its because I had an external mouse plugged in, so i just installed windows as normal,

Problems with ELAN Touchpad

I'm using a MSI GP60 Leopard Laptop and have recently upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.
My touchpad in Windows 8.1 worked fine but when I upgraded it seemed to stop working. I went to the mouse settings
and the Elan tab and enabled it back and everything worked again. But then the next day it seemed to have stopped working again. Yet, this time I went to the Elan tab and nothing was there.

Any help?

There's a possibility that you're getting this concern due to an out-dated driver. For us to better assist you, we'd like to ask a few questions:

• Were there any recent changes prior to the issue?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

In the meantime, we suggest that you check if ASUS Touchpad is enabled on your device. To do that, you may follow these steps:

• Type Settingson the search bar and press Enter.
• Select Devices.
• Click Mouse & touchpad.
• Select Additional mouse options on the right pane.
• Choose Device Settings (some called ELAN) pane, check Yes/No of Touchpad. If
  No, click Enable and select OK.

Elan touchpad

I have an HP laptop I purchased in January 2019. I spent three days last year working with a tech person to disable the Elan touchpad that came installed. Windows 10 updated a few days ago and enabled the touchpad. Please tell me how to disable it again.
It is a constant problem and annoyance!!! None of the instructions on the web worked. I've even tried uninstalling the driver, but it's reinstalled when I restart the computer. This is not an event that endears Microsoft, HP or Elan.
