  1. Elevated disk storage used on Windows 10, mostly on Applications & Carachteristics

    Hi there;

As I could see from other posts, there are similar problems with the disk space that keeps growing on Windows 10 SSD. Most of my disk space is held on the application and characteristics Aplicaciones y caracteristicas, since my windows is in spanish. I thought that could have been for some particular software that I had installed, but even after doing the uninstall through the proper soft tool, the space did not only stayed the same but I found out that it has even incrased up to leave only 2 GB free. As for today,

    - Apps and chars takes 242 GB, the "bigger" app is Spotify with 8 GB

    - Documents 131 GB,

    - Other 5,75 GB

    - Temp flies 4,88 GB

    - Videos 1,28 GB

Is there any way to check the applications & characteristics to truly dtermine if those 242 GB are used?

Is there any workaround for this situation since the space seems to gets smaller every day?

    Thanks in Advance

    :)

  2. Disk bloat in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

Is it my imagination, or does the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update consume an additional 20-30GB of disk space over the previous Creators Update release? Unfortunately, I didn't log my disk usage before the upgrade, but now my C: drive has 56GB of stuff, and I know it wasn't anywhere near that full before. I've run "Disk Cleanup -> Clean up system files" and selected everything on the list, including remove previous version of Windows. I also emptied my Recycle Bin, my Temp folder, \Windows\Temp folder, and \Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder. Finally, I ran Wise Disk Cleaner to delete assorted application garbage.

Has anyone else noticed the bloat in Fall Creators Update?

Access Disks that were previously used in Windows 10 Storage Pool

Hi, whilst theoretically it should be possible to move a set of disks configured as a storage space from one installation to another, and from one build to another, in practice this has been reported here as not working (I think only a couple of instances, so limited evidence).

You may indeed have to revert your build.

Elevated disk storage used on Windows 10, mostly on Applications & Carachteristics

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
