Windows 10: Eliminating a white circle with cross from screen

There is a white circle with a cross in it in the center of my screen. It remains there regardless of what page I am using. When I went to the community to ask about this there were numerous questions; but none matched the circle I have on my computer. I have thought maybe this is about syncing; but why should I have to sync with something on windows when I don't want to? Irritating.

white cross in red circle icon for OneDrive folders


I am successfully using OneDrive on two Win10 machines. I am trying to use it on my Tablet (ASUS). The folders I set up and their content have a white cross 'X' in a red circle icon. I can open the documents and pictures but the option to get a OneDrive Link for sharing is greyed out and is not available. I tried deleting the folders and recreating them, same problem. Ay suggestions please? I don't want to use the sync feature, just the ability to copy/paste only the items I want to save on OneDrive. Thanks...Raj

 

Cross on Desktop Icons

Hi all,

I have just got a Dell Inspiron 3910 with Windows 11.

Some of my desktop icons have a white cross in a red circle on them instead on the white square with the blue arrow.

Can someone give me a step by step guide on how to fix this (I am not an IT expert)

 

Cursor "cross" is transparent

Here's an update from my end:

This only happens on my laptop screen when it is plugged into a second monitor.

• If Excel is on the second monitor, then the cursor cross is white.
• If the laptop isn't plugged into the second monitor then the cursor cross is white.

I think the same happens on all Office applications - certainly PowerPoint as well.

From this ^^above, I doubt it is an Excel setting. Not really sure where to start looking for a fix. The issue is that it impedes the use of the application as you keep losing where the damn cursor is.
