Windows 10: Elite controllers frailty

Feeling a little ripped off here. Controller is a little over a year old. First had the left bumper button seemed to collapse half way. Then I noticed that the left analog stick seems to rest further down than it should. So when playing with the controller while laying down, it sags to the original position. Then I had the left bumper break and now hangs loose. I loved this controller and it's such a disappointment that such a pricey accessory falls apart in your hands. That you have such a short warranty for this pricey item and the experience I've had with this item. I will have to hesitate the next time I look at something offered from Microsoft/Xbox.
