EliteBook 8460hp..my screen has small lines at the background that make words blur. i tried searching for driver updates and even bought a new screen. why is this?

In certain programmes, the lines, colour's and words are blurred, this seems to only apply to programmes that involve text.

In certain programmes, the lines, colour's and words are blurred, this seems to only apply to programmes that involve text, all windows programmes seem to be OK, can anyone suggest a cure for this?

 

Blurred Background Image at Log-in Screen

Hi Edsaidso,

The update to Windows 10 Version 1903 and later now blurs the background image on the standard login screen. While not a big deal in the overall scheme of things, it is a "feature".. It will be blurred by default if the input box for password is on.

you can try to disabled it on thru personalization settings,

1. Navigate to Settings > Personalization > Colors page.

2. Turn off the Transparency effects option to disable the blur on the sign in screen. However, as said before, this will also disable the transparency effects on the Start, taskbar, and other areas.

Once disabled your background image for login screen won't be blurred anymore when you're typing your password.

Want same background image and lock screen image on Windows 10 - problem

Thanks for your reply. I tried your suggestion about "Centre" but that didn't help unfortunately. When I am in settings and I look at my Lock Screen image it is clear as a bell, but when I preview the Background
image it is blurred and I don't seem to be able to copy the Lock Screen image to the Background! I keep reselecting it from the pictures but it's still blurred and out of focus. The saved image I have of the Lock Screen is a small photo in the middle of
the page but it fills the Lock Screen and is very clear.
