Windows 10: Email alerts !

I have been using the Windows Mailbox/Calendar app for a long time now and think it's great most of the time. Over the last few weeks I have to keep resetting it to make it work correctly. Sometimes the alerts don't work but the main problem is emails waiting ages in the "Outbox" ! When they finally "send" my friends receive more than one copy to say the least. My main account is with yahoo with Outlook my back up etc. I like Outlook but I was set up with yahoo at a computer class I attended many years ago. Is there any other way of getting alerts with yahoo ? I have a tile for Mailbox

Try these steps:

To turn on and turn off email notifications, follow these steps:

• From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
• Scroll to and tap Settings.
• Tap ringtones+sounds.
• Tap manage app sounds.
• Tap the email account.
• Tap the Notification sound field.
• Select the desired alert option.

 

Emergency Alerts

Just to confirm, is this the same thing that you tried on your phone, in order to turn off Amber Alerts?

• Open Settings.
• Tap on System.
• Tap on Messaging.
• Tap on the Change emergency alert settings link.
• Turn on or off the emergency alerts you want.

Let us know if this was the same thing that you tried.

We would also suggest to reset your phone after doing these steps to ensure that the changes on your phone's settings will be refreshed.

Simply press and hold the Power and Volume down button for 15 seconds and then release your hold afterwards.

 

Email alert on program failure

Is their a program I can run or some built in windows server (2012) mechanism to send an email alert to me when a program is no longer detected as running?
