Windows 10: email client problems

Whenever my email client tries to load emails from the servers I get authentication failure every time, I put it down to my particular client having problems but I've tried it with different clients now and I'm getting the same problemFair email for androidMailbird for PCThunderbird for PCAll from three different email addressesHotmail live and outlookWith Thunderbird it was after just installing it using recommended settingsDon't know what to do

Email clients not remembering passwords

Hi all

A friends computer will not remember his gmail password. He used to use outlook, and seeing that I use thunderbird and it would be easier to troubleshoot I installed that for him. Now that was working for a few weeks, and now the same problem is occuring.

We are 100% sure the password is correct, as we can access the email account through webmail, but the local clients will not remember the correct password. Of course the 'Remember password' button is checked, but still no good.

It returns with incorrect password.

Any suggestions?

Mount the List you want to make changes to, right click it and choose Edit...





... there you can re-name the List, add and remove recipients, etc...





or, Delete the whole List in the Address Book...

Please be informed that the Mail App is not an email client. The MAPI support for email is still available for email clients like Office Outlook.

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps setting the right email client as default.

Settings > System > Default apps > Look for the Email heading > Click on the current default email client just below heading > Click on the email client under the app menu.
