Windows 10: Email problems

Tried sending an email from clicking on an email address on a web site.



A blue screen comes up and asks, “Choose which account to send the email from”.



I am given only one option and that is to cancel.



Once done, a few pains come up where on the side panel it comes up with “New Mail”, “Accounts”, and some buttons below including the little gear box that is for settings. Now, some time ago I did get rid of the email program that comes with Windows 10. Just seemed a bit redundant to have MS Outlook and whatever Microsoft put in the computer. After that with both of these-always got confusing from time to time. It just seems that Microsoft decided to bring this back-maybe in an update?

I know how to uninstall it but my question is how can I keep it from redownloaded or whatever happened to bring this email back from the grave? I prefer to use Outlook. With this program,it sometimes confuses me-really baffling might be a better word because I do not get confused when I use Outlook and no other programs available for emailing.



With this, how do I set things up to make sure if I go onto a website that when I try to use email, that it only brings up MS Outlook and nothing else.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...


That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

My system is Windows 10, my browser is Google Chrome and my email is Windows live. When I open a hyperlink I get a blank/black page listed as "Untitled". Any suggestions?

 

Unauthorized Emails from my account?

It is more than likely that your email account was hacked, either by a virus sniffing your password, or just simply hacked.

Either way, change your password on your email account. Unfortunately the damage by already be done. They already have your contact list and your email address associated with that contact list. There is nothing stopping them from sending out emails using their own SMTP servers to everyone on your contact list and claiming the emails are from your email address. They don't actually have to have access to your yahoo account or even any yahoo server to send emails to people that come from your address.
