Windows 10: Emails disappearing right in front of me

I'm using my hotmail/live account through the Windows Mail app, not Outlook. However there doesn't seem to be any support category for that, so here I am. I have noticed multiple times now that emails I've moved from my junk folder will disappear, where are my emails?! I literally just watched an email disappear from my inbox, one that I moved from my junk folder. I searched my entire inbox using the search bar thing and it's just gone, it's not in my deleted folder, junk, or any other folder. There's no new unusual sign in activity, and why would some hacker delete some random email but leave the rest? Why has hotmail deleted my emails for no reason? So far I haven't lost anything important like tracking numbers for shipments but I feel it may be only a matter of time.

Disappearing Emails

1. Which email client are you referring to?
   
2. Are you referring to notification which occurs on action center?
   

This behavior occurs because there may be a rule that is moving incoming messages to another folder in the Folder list or mailbox. If you are using Outlook and you are receiving the E-mail notification in the system tray,
then I would suggest you to refer this article
for more information about this issue.

You may also try the below suggested step clean the current views to check the emails again. To do so,

1. Press Windows + R key. Type in “outlook.exe /cleanviews” and press
   Enter.
   
2. This will restore default views and the custom views you had will be lost.

Emails disappear after being read

Hi

Using Outlook 2007 and Exhange 2003. When I read an email it disappears. It doesn't go to the deleted folder and my view is set to 'Messages'. Googled it and couldn't find anything useful. Any ideas?

 

Why did the email draft disappear?

By clicking on a small envelope at the bottom of the screen or clicking on the button that looks like the Windows logo in the lower left corner of the screen and selecting mail, I get a blue rectangle with a little white envelope in the middle and eventually
a list of emails on the left (in this case Yahoo). If I select one of the emails it appears on the right side and I can reply to it. Sometimes I can't add to this email because it freezes. Sometimes this is accompanied by a rotating blue circle. Sometimes
I can't do anything until I click on the little envelope at the bottom of the screen again, and everything comes up again. There is usually a draft which I can select from the list on the left and continue working on. But on more than one occasion, that draft
has just disappeared. Even if the first few words of the draft appeared in the list on the left, they disappeared on the right and then in the list on the left. What happened?
