Windows 10: Emails in html

WHY does Microsoft not fix ongoing problems with Windows 11? I am talking about the Windows 11 email app where I/we receive email which when opened, appear in html. Those emails are completely unreadable. This has been going on for months! I just got one of those emails. It was from my CARDIOLOGIST'S OFFICE. I could not read it, it was in html. SERIOUSLY, Microsoft?Yes, I went online to aol.com where the email was readable. That being the case, why do we need a stupid email app if it doesn't work??? And WHY don't you fix it?And, no, it is not our problem to fix. it's your problem to fix and w

N97 HTML emails

May I make a suggestion? Virtually all the emails I receive are HTML



By default my N97 downloads just text for each of the emails. For a lot of emails this is suficient for you to deal with it. If, however, you need to read the HTML version then whilst the email is open go to "options" then "Attachments" and then you should
find the HTML version as "Attachment.html", Alternatively you may need to go to "Options" then "Retrieve" and the HTML attachment is at the top of the email. Tap to open. If you wish to forward or save then there is an option to save before you open.



I'd suggest that this should cover 99% of the times you'll need HTML.

 

N97 HTML emails

I'm back to this thread... & I highly appreciate your help with the following questions/points:

• I have set up am email account using the original Nokia Messaging that came with my N97.. Everything is going fine.. especially the automatic retrieval. However, every time I open an email containing HTML, I got the HTML file as attachment that I need to
  open.. I believe it's an extra step that can be avoided... Some of you thankfully tried to help by setting the option 'Display as HTML" I cannot find this option whatsoever using this version of Nokia Messaging... So my question is: How can I find this option,
  if available?
• My 2nd question: How do I know which version of Nokia Messaging I am using? There is no "About" option under the application..
• I tried to install the latest Nokia Messaging software.. Although I was disappointed that it installed on "C:" & took around 2MB of space, I did not notice any difference between what I used to have & this update... Is there any? They claim they open HTML
  files directly..
• I have used ProfiMail as trial & It's a very useful & effective application but I believe it's a bit more expensive that it should me. So I decided to use Nokia Messaging instead if it provided me with somehow similar functionalities.. Can anyone help me
  know the exact difference other than opening HTML emails?...

E72 HTML emails

This is a backward step from the E71. In fact, I am unimpressed with the email solution on the E72 compared with the E71, with is inferior to the lastest version on my E71 (I've moved back to the E71 from my E72).



Whether I want to see HTML emails (I do) or not should be for me to decide in the settings as I can in Nokia Messaging on the E71. The E72 is a step backward in that you still have to select 'view HTML email' and even then the HTML support is poor. This
was like one of the previous verisons of Nokia Messaging on the E71 before Nokia updated it.



Don't be fooled into thinking that Nokia Messaging being integrated into the firmware on the E72 is a good thing; it's not! The solution is inferior to the current standalone version of Nokia Messaging available on the E71.



MfE may be a step forward, but when it won't work with Google Mail for Domains (like my E71 did without any problems) it is pointless. I even have problems with Roadsync in that 'push' email causes some loop on the contacts synchronisation which then results
in push email being switched off.



All in all, the E72 is not the great step forward unless you use Exchange 2007 and use the newer version of MfE. For any other 'consumer' email (which we all like to have work and personal email on out smartphones) it is POOR!



Come on, Nokia, sort it out! Don't you have any beta testers? Surely some ex-E71 users would have been able to point out these massive inadequacies!
