Windows 10: Emails will not write to Thunderbird app after Windows 10 reset

I followed the procedure to reset Windows 10 on my HP Pavilion-g Laptop. It was successful and the updates installed, but now I cannot download email to my Thunderbird app and get the message "Unable to write the email to the mailbox....". "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox."What should I do?

Thunderbird and Torrex won't work in Windows 10

For your Mail settings with Thunderbird, we suggest you to get in touch with Thunderbird to get the correct information to set up your email. You can refer to this article:

Excel will not use Thunderbird to email spreadsheet on Windows 10 Pro

My lady friend wants an idiot proof system (if there is such a thing), one aspect of which is to email an Excel sprreadsheet to a group of fundraising friends.
From my own PC running Win 7 I can do this by the 'usual' method of Alt+F+d and it will email using Thunderbird.

On her Windows 10 Pro laptop the email option is not there ony a fax option.

I have set Win 10 default email app to Thunderbird but no joy.

Any suggestions?

 

Windows 10 compatibility with Firefox and Thunderbird for incoming and outgoing email.

I have been using Windows 10 for approx. a year with no issues re email compatibility between Windows and Thunderbird re email, however recently I am unable to send or forward any email using Thunderbird. There is no problem with incoming, just an outgoing
issue. Any suggestions?
