Windows 10: Emails wont display content - windows live

windows 10 2004 installed an update Sept 19 2020. since then my mail inbox opens, but i cannot get the emails to display content. just a message saying ' message cannot be displayed.'. 'Windows live encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for low memory or low disc space & try again.'

I'm not very technical, but need help.

Outlook.com wont show email content

I've been having an issue with outlook.com where it wont actually show me the contents in some emails that are sent from outside of my organization. I get the warning: "Some content in this message has been blocked because the sender
isn't in your Safe senders list. I trust content from *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. | Show blocked content." Even after selecting show blocked content or selecting I trust content, the email still does not display. I can open the email in the immersive reader and it will display
there, or if I select to reply to or forward the email, the contents will show then. I have my outlook email linked to my Gmail app for Android and I have no issues displaying content on my phone. I have tried changing my Privacy and data settings to not use
the Outlook service to load images. I have also turned off ad-blockers for Outlook.com. I even tried using a different browser on my computer and no luck getting the email to display. Interestingly, the email contents will display when I access outlook.com
on my phone's mobile browser, but if I switch over to "Desktop site" the contents similarly will no longer display.

Is there a solution for this? It's getting really irritating and becoming a productivity killer. My organization recently (2 weeks ago) switched everything over to MS, so I'm wondering if maybe it could be an administrative setting
set by my organization. But I'm not sure if that even makes sense considering the emails display in my mobile apps.

This is an example of what appears after adding the email to trusted senders list and requesting to show blocked contents. When opening the email, the contents will flash for a partial second, but then it goes blank.

Windows Messenger Confirmation Email

No It didnt appear in my spam box but I updated to Windows live Messenger which sent the confirmation email and also verified windows messenger. Ty everyone for there suggestions

This issue might occur if Block images and other external content in HTML email is checked in Windows Live mail.

I suggest you to uncheck Block images and other external content in HTML email in Windows Live mail and check if it helps

Follow the below steps:

  Open your Windows Live Mail.
  
• 
  Press Alt+F.
  
• 
  Click on Options.
  
• 
  Select Safety Options.
  
• 
  Click on Security tab.
  
• 
  Uncheck Block images and other external content in HTML email.
  
• 
  Check Show images and external content sent from email addresses in my Safe Senders list.
  
• 
  Tick on Apply.
  
• 
  Select OK.
