Windows 10: empty folders from W11 Home Desktop are dissappearing in 1-2 days

Hello,From time to time I get annoyed by W11 bug:- 12th i7-1270 Intel- 64 Gb RAM- 1Gb SDD as OS base- additional 2Gb SDD as data drive- nVidia 3070- W11 Home- 22H2 / 22621.2428 all updates in place- working antivirus in place Bitdefender Internet Security up-to-dateProblem:- in case I create a temporary working folder on the Desktop main user, admin rights- and leave it empty- it will dissappear in 1-2 days with out any trace no signs in Recycle Bin, no other signsI've managed to fix some examples, when a folders are in place, b later on they are are goneNo external access to my PC

Photos dissappeared from folder

Hi I hope someone can help me, I'm running Windows 10 and had loads of photo folders in pictures which have just dissappeared. I've tried everything I've read but can't find them or restore them in anywhere.

I found I had the issue when I bought an external hard drive to back them up and to my horror they are all gone!

Any suggestions or anyone had this issue and resolved it!

All sub folders with photos in on the desktop are still there.

Deleted icons stay on desktop (not in desktop folder)

I can only suggest that you
1 Add a list of steps you have already taken.
2 Add a comment about restarting the computer. Do the deleted icons disappear then?
2 Add a comment explaining if any Desktop items do delete correctly and whether or not there are any significant differences between those that do delete correctly and those that don't.
3 Add a list of any OS tweaks you have done & any third-party OS-related utilities you have run.

I assume you have already reinstalled your display driver.
I don't see a Repair install as being relevant. Repair Install - TenForumsTutorials

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.
