Enable lowres boot screen in UEFI

Hello. I want to enable the low resolution boot screen on my UEFI pc, so I turned highestmode in bcdedit off, but that did not affect it. I don't want to use the full res boot screen, as that will take up more power on my laptop I think. Any fixes/suggestions?

    :)

Brand new Acer Revo Build stops posting after turning on UEFI

That is what I was hinting at. My next step would be to disconnect the HDD, boot to a flash that is UEFI compatible.

  4. Enable lowres boot screen in UEFI

I need help going from Legacy to UEFI so i can enable secure boot and update to windows 11

I can help you with that. Here are the steps on how to go from Legacy to UEFI so you can enable secure boot and update to Windows 11:

    1. Check your computer's specifications. Make sure that your computer supports UEFI. You can check your computer's specifications by looking at the manufacturer's website or by opening the System Information window in Windows.
    2. Back up your data. Before you make any changes to your computer's settings, it's always a good idea to back up your data. This way, you can restore your data if anything goes wrong.
    3. Restart your computer. When your computer starts up, press the appropriate key to enter the BIOS or UEFI settings. The key you need to press will vary depending on your computer's manufacturer.
    4. Change the boot mode to UEFI. In the BIOS or UEFI settings, find the boot mode option and change it to UEFI.
    5. Save the settings and exit the BIOS or UEFI. Once you've changed the boot mode to UEFI, save the settings and exit the BIOS or UEFI.
    6. Enable secure boot. Once your computer has booted into UEFI, find the secure boot option and enable it.
    7. Update to Windows 11. Once you've enabled secure boot, you can update to Windows 11.
Here are some additional tips for going from Legacy to UEFI:

    • If you're not sure how to change the boot mode or enable secure boot, consult your computer's manual or contact the manufacturer for support.
    • If you have any third-party drivers installed, they may not be compatible with UEFI. You may need to update or reinstall these drivers after you change the boot mode.
