How to Enable or Disable Send Do Not Track Requests in Microsoft Edge in Windows 10

Microsoft Edge is a new web browser that is available across the Windows 10 device family. It is designed for Windows 10 to be faster, safer, and compatible with the modern Web.

Tracking refers to the way that websites, third-party content providers, advertisers, and others learn about how you interact with sites. This might include keeping track of what pages you visit, links you click, and products you buy or review. This helps these sites offer personalized content like ads or recommendations, but it also means that your browsing activity is being collected, and often it's shared with other companies.

When Send Do Not Track requests is turned on, Microsoft Edge will send a Do Not Track request to both the sites you visit, and to the third parties whose content is hosted on those sites. The Do Not Track request lets these sites and content providers know that you prefer not to have your browsing activity tracked.

*note Sending a Do Not Track request to sites doesn't guarantee privacy protection. Sites might choose to respect the request, or they might continue to engage in activities you'd view as tracking even though you have expressed this preference. This depends on individual sites' privacy practices.

This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable sending Do Not Track requests in Microsoft Edge for your account or all users in Windows 10.

    Edge tracking cookies

I had already done the items you suggested with no apparent effect. Still get up to 600!!! tracking cookies if I don't check for several days.

Question: Does "block only 3rd party cookies" mean that all first party cookies are accepted? If so, then that explains why so many tracking cookies appear. If that is true then "Do not track" is totally ineffective, and MS MUST allow a cookie managing
app or provide an option like 8.1 to control which cookies are accepted.

With edgeadblock, Edge has become a very good browser except for the tracking cookie problem. Please provide a fix ASAP.

  3. Do Not Track setting in Edge

    Hi,

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

When the Send Do Not Track requests setting is turned on it will send a request to the websites you visit to not track your activities, including to the third parties whose content may be hosted on the sites you visit.

As you said it is turned off in Edge. We need to manually turn if ON.

To change this setting, go to More actions
Enable or Disable Send Do Not Track Requests in Microsoft Edge [IMG]
    >
Settings, and under Advanced settings, select
View advanced Settings, and then, under Privacy and services, turn the
Send Do Not Track requests setting on or off.

For additional information on Microsoft Edge, I suggest you to refer the link below:

    Hope it helps.

    Edge tracking cookies

It is quite obvious that the person that answered the question did not actual read the question. Don't suggest everything that the poor guy already said he tried and then just leave him hanging. Tell him where the list for blocking specific cookies is,
