How to Enable or Disable Email Address on Sign-in Screen in Windows 10

Windows 10 has a new sign in screen that is more modern and touch friendly. By default, you need to dismiss the sign in to Windows 10 with your account.

Starting with Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14328, email addresses of Microsoft accounts are now hidden by default on the sign-in screen.

You can use group policy to prevent users from showing account details (ex: email address) on the sign-in screen.

If you enable this policy setting, account details will not show on the sign-in screen for all users, and users cannot choose to show account details on the sign-in screen.

If you disable or do not configure this policy setting, users may choose to hide or show their account details on the sign-in screen.

This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable the ability to hide or show account details (ex: email address) on the sign-in screen for all users on the Windows 10 PC.

*Warning You must be signed in as an administrator to enable or disable showing account details on the sign-in screen.
