Windows 10: enabling core isolation & memory integrity caused bsod after login, windows 11

on a laptop by asus rog R9-7940hs running windows 11 , after I set memory integrity and restart , the system went into a loop of bsod -> restart -> login -> bsod

Not able to perform steps in Option 1
Under "Windows Defender Security Center", "Device Security" is not an option.
Winver reports Version 1709 (OS build 16299 402)
The processor is Intel I3
Virtualization is enabled in system BIOS.
