    Hi,

    I have just reinstalled windows 10 my computer – Lenovo X1 2019. I had too much stuff on it and wanted to reduce the number of programs etc. Now I have a clean machine – great! But… there are a couple of encrypted documents that I can’t access. I realise that I need a certificate to access the files. The certificate was issued to the prevision installation on my machine and since I don’t have that anymore I can’t open the file. It only concerns office documents that I have locked with a password – all other documents can be opened etc.

    What to do? How can I get the old certificate?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    How to open encrypted files after reinstalling the OS(Windows 10)?

    Hi, I did encryption two folders and it's subsequent files using the OS (Windows 10) encryption/decryption feature. But unfortunately, my OS got crashed and I have to reinstall the OS again.Now whenever I am trying to open the encrypted files, it's showing
    I don't have permission to access. Please suggest any solution.

    Windows 10 File Encryption Problems

    Here's what you need to do to encrypt your Office files with Office's own encryption tool:

    • Open the Office file you want to encrypt with a proper Office application.
    • Go to “File” Tab.
    • Under Info, click on “Protect document”.
    • Drop-down box appears
    • Click on “Encrypt with password”
    • Enter your password and click “OK”, and then, re-enter your password & click”OK”
