    Encrypted Files

I recently decided I wanted to mod Enter the Gungeon. To do that, I had to move it from the microsoft store and onto a drive on my computer where the mod software could recognize the EtG.exe file. I moved all the game files onto the drive and now all the files have a gold lock on the upper right corner and cannot be accessed. I have tried messing with the security settings and changing the file owner to 'Everyone'. When I try to change settings, they either don't change, or I get an error message saying the actions cannot be completed. Please help!

    :)

  3. encrypted files

    Hi Iman,

Error message 0x80071771 means that you need to restore the file encryption key in order for you to decrypt the encrypted files. On the other hand, you can still try these steps and see if it will work:

    • Right-click the file or folder that you want to decrypt.
    • Click File ownership and click Personal.

Feel free to contact us if you need assistance with Windows.

    Windows XP file encryption

My suggestion to you is to look into what kind of encryption the program used, and look for a way to break that type of encryption. Sorry I can't say a specific program for sure.
