  1. End of support: should I update from windows 7 to windows 10?

Hello all,I have a Lenovo e540 laptop with 16GB ram running Windows 7 pro SP1.It has been running really well and it is essential for me professionally, which is why I've been scared to update plus, Win8 at the time had really bad reviews so I just stuck with 7. Now that Chrome is stopping support, I'm wondering whether I should upgrade to 10. I cannot upgrade to 11 since I don't have TPM 2 support. - Can I update straight from Win7 pro SP1 to 10? - Do I just download the update and run it? - Are my files and programs safe? Thanks for your advice

    :)
