    Endless "setup" loop while trying to reinstall Windows 10


    I'm hoping that someone can help and I'm sorry if this is a repetition of anyone's earlier question. I've tried to find an answer on here without success. Windows 10 crashed. Trying to reinstall from flash drive. I get furthest in Windows Setup doing "install now," then at Activate Windows either inputting product key or saying "I don't have a product key," then "Windows 10 Pro," then accepting terms, then "custom install," then choosing Drive 0 Partition 2:OS with 415.5 gb of space partition 1 says "system reserved" and Partition 2 is the only other choice. It progresses to "Installing Windows" and gets to the "finishing up" with the green bar at the bottom 75% across. Then is says "Windows needs to restart to continue." It restarts at the first Windows Setup screen for language preferences again. I've turned the computer off and started again, and repeated this five times with the same loop result. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

    • Have you checked if the hard disk is set as first boot device in the BIOS?
    • Which version of Windows is installed on the computer?
    • What did the HP supported suggested you to fix the issue?

    In order to help you with your concern about your PC which is stuck in endless loop, kindly answer the following questions first:

    • What are the options that you see under Options and boot options? If you can, please post here a screen shot.
    • Was there a new hardware installed?
    • Were there new apps installed?
    • Have you done any recent driver updates?
    • What is the current build and version of your Windows 10?
    • What other troubleshooting steps have you tried?
