Windows 10: EndNote installation issues

I have downloaded endnote from get into pc but when im going to open and install the software it cannot opening , and just show me to open file with e.g. adobe reader, internal explorer, and other apps i have trying in all the apps but it still not opening. And one thing is to inform you that the file when downloaded is showed in download folder not in C folderKindly resolve my issue im too sick with such problem

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Windows 10 putting my Endnote into a "locked volume"- whatever that means

I have been using Endnote for years on my PC and using my current Endnote version (8.2) for 1 1/2 years with Windows 10 no problem. Just recently without my making any changes (except maybe auto Windows updates) I get a message on Endnote saying the file
is in a "locked volume" and while I can open it I cannot add references or edit it in any way. I have tried multiple times to save a duplicate and use that. But after I use the duplicate 2-3 times on my PC it happens again. My only work around is keeping Endnote
on my flash drive. But it is very annoying. Any suggestions as to 1] why this started to happen and 2] How to fix it. Any help most appreciated. Thanks Joe Marrone

 

I can't install the plug-in Cite While you Write from Endnote

When a I try to install the plug-in "Cite While you Write" from Endnote X8, the following message appears:

Error 1904 Module C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MSSoap\Binaries\SOAPISAP.dll failed to register HRESULT - 2147023782

I also can't update Endnote X8.2. It appears "The patch of this installation can not be installed by the Windows Installer because the program must be absent or the installation patch can have atualized a different version".
